Are You Ready to Pass?

The DVSA has recently started a new campaign which is designed to help learners understand whether they are ready to pass the practical driving test.

The 27 skills learners are expected to be competent at are split across 8 groups:

  • the basics

  • control and positioning

  • observations, signalling, and planning

  • junctions, roundabouts, and crossings

  • manoeuvres

  • road types

  • driving conditions

  • following routes

The 8 groups are then broken down into the 27 skills which are listed here.

Throughout your driving lessons with Day Tripper Driving Tuition, you and your instructor will work together to build up your skills, knowledge, and experience throughout these areas.

As you become more competent, you will explore the roads in and around Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft at a pace which is suited to the progress you are making in your driving.

Over time, we will work with you to ensure that you are at the standard required to pass your practical driving test, which, in simple terms, is when you can drive independently, with no need for guidance or support to drive safely.

Whilst having driving lessons with us, you will be able to monitor your progress across all areas by using an app which we provide you with access of, free of charge.

Additionally, your instructor is always at hand to discuss your progress, and offer guidance and support to ensure you meet the required standards for your driving test.

In order to start your own driving journey, please contact us here to book your driving lessons.
